On the morning of May 23, 2025, at the invitation of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Can Tho City, Vina T&T Group had the honor of participating in the workshop, represented by:

Mr. Nguyen Phong Phu – Technical Director The workshop was held under the theme: "Enhancing Production and Consumption Linkages for Longan Products Certified to GlobalG.A.P. Standards."
During the event, Mr. Nguyen Phong Phu shared valuable insights based on Vina T&T Group’s practical experience in the harvesting and post-harvest handling of mango and longan crops. His remarks aimed to support farmers in achieving optimal product quality in compliance with international standards.
The workshop generated a number of insightful and practical questions from participants. In response, CEO Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tung provided open and thoughtful answers, including:
Does GlobalG.A.P. certification significantly increase production costs?
Mr. Tung noted, “Global markets now impose stringent certification requirements. As such, GlobalG.A.P. has become essential for ensuring consistent export opportunities and expanding market access. While certification may incur additional costs, the long-term benefits ultimately accrue to the farmers.”
What is the projected longan export volume for 2025?
“Vina T&T Group plans to export approximately 300 tons, beginning with a pilot shipment of 5 tons by air to the Costco supermarket chain. Should this initial shipment meet the required quality standards, we anticipate a substantial increase in export volume,” Mr. Tung added;

Through this workshop, the Group also aims to convey its message of sustainable development to both the farming community and local authorities, with the ultimate goal of elevating Vietnamese agricultural products on the global stage.
