Drawing on his journey of bringing Vietnamese fruits to the U.S. market, Mr. Tung shared valuable lessons, from the first dragon fruit shipment that met only approximately 60% of the requirements to sea freight trials that resulted in nearly total product loss upon arrival. These experiences highlighted the importance of quality control, post-harvest preservation, logistics, and compliance with import regulations, including FDA requirements.
These practical insights help clarify the key requirements for Vietnamese agricultural products to enter the U.S. market, while offering businesses valuable perspectives on standardizing processes and strengthening export capabilities.
